Kavinga Perera assaulted over Aksha issue?

Budding actor and announcer Kavinga Perera has been hurt after he was reportedly assaulted by a group said to be linked to his fiancée’s side.

He has received injuries to his head, reports say.

Following the incident, which had taken place over Kavinga’s linkup with actress and model Aksha Sudari, he has been received treatment at the Lanka Hospitals Pvt. Ltd, reports add.

Though the relationship has caused regular trouble between Kavinga and his fiancée, it has intensified after Aksha gatecrashed a recent surprise party held at Kavinga’s fiancee’s home and stalked out, taking Kavinga with her.

The incident had greatly upset Kavinga's future in-laws and reports say that they are attempting to change their daughter's mind about Kavinga.

Meanwhile, speaking to a weekend newspaper recently, Aksha had said that such claims were untrue and she would take legal action against those who spread such rumours. Rejecting that she was attempting to come between Kavinga and his fiancée, Aksha had added that such rumours are triggered due to her close close relationship with Kavinga.

Kavinga, who made his debut from Ravindra Wijeratne's 'Api Api Wage', also appeared in teledramas 'Nil Nethu' 'Ruwan Maliga'.

Following his debut as a program presenter in Max TV, he also presented Derana TV's Derana City of Dance programme.
