Teen actress and presenter Pramudi Karunarathne is on cloud number nine after passing her GCE Advanced Level exam with flying colours and being selected for university, reports say.
Despite doing her A/Ls from the Arts stream, Pramudi hopes to study business management in university, reports add.
Pramudi has been in the field of acting for 11 years after her successful debut through the internationally acclaimed film 'Saroja'. Her performance earned her an award at the Iranian international film in 2000.
She even acted in the teledrama 'Alu Paata Heena' which was shot close to her A/L exam.
The little lass in 'Saroja' also presented the popular kids' programme 'Punchi Panchi' in Sirasa. At the present, she is presenting the programme 'Vivaahaya' aired by Derana TV.
Pramudi, who has studied drama and performing arts under Mrs. Somalatha Subasinghe, has also played leading roles in popular stages dramas such as 'Hima Kumari' and 'Walas Paula'.
Meanwhile, sources say that the sequel of the internationally acclaimed film 'Saroja' is to be shot next year.
Pramudi's co star in 'Saroja' - Nithya Kandasaami is presently studying for her A/Ls under the science stream.
